Highlights of the Department
The Department of Physics at Sri Arvind Mahila College, Patna, is dedicated to providing quality education in the field of Physics, even in the face of certain challenges. Although the department currently operates without any sanctioned posts and is managed by a single, highly committed faculty member, it remains focused on delivering a strong academic program to its students.

Our mission is to empower young women by providing them with a solid foundation in Physics, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing a scientific mindset. We aim to inspire our students to pursue excellence in both their academic and professional lives, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to society.
Academic Programs

-M.Sc. in Physics
-B.Sc. (4-year CBCS program)
-B.Sc. (3-year program under the old pattern)
These programs are structured to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of Physics, covering essential topics such as Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Physics, and Thermodynamics. Despite the limited resources, the department strives to ensure that students receive a thorough and well-rounded education.

Facilities
The Department of Physics faces certain infrastructural challenges, particularly in its laboratory facilities. While the lab is functional, it requires significant improvements to meet modern standards. Despite the lack of a Lab Boy and other support staff, the department works diligently to provide students with hands-on experience, though it is constrained by the available resources.
